I hate large chunks of Styrofoam so I was please to see that they used formed cardboard and no Styrofoam. In fact there was no traditional plastic in the packaging at all. Even the bag that wrapped the shredder was compostable!

The shredder itself is powerful, quiet and good looking. The energy saving switch works as advertised and powers down the unit after 5 minutes of in activity. Good shredder. I would buy this brand again. (Posted on 5/28/10)
